Half a Dozen Reasons to Celebrate

Edmonton Custom Home Builder in the Running for Multiple National Awards

Feb 13, 2018, Edmonton – The team at Vicky’s Homes are continuing their hot streak with six projects up for the Canadian Home Builder Association (CHBA) 2018 National Awards for Housing Excellence, the most number of nominations for an Edmonton home builder.

“We are ecstatic,” says Vicky Kujundzic, CEO of Vicky’s Homes. “To have multiple projects selected as category finalists is exciting enough, but when you realize that there were over 700 impressive entries from across Canada, it really hits home.”

Every year, the CHBA recognizes builder excellence with 40 distinctive national awards. The evaluation process involves nearly 150 judges who have the tough task of narrowing the field of exceptional New Home, Home Renovation, Marketing and Design, Community Development, and Net Zero entries. A smaller panel of industry experts then chooses the winners.

“This year we have four homes that have been selected as finalists in various New Home categories, as well as two homes vying for the coveted Interior Decorating distinction,” says Kujundzic. “We are proud to be vying for top spot in four categories and humbled at the opportunity given the quality of the competition.”

While these results are impressive, they are not surprising. Vicky’s Homes has been steadily collecting awards since its inception 17 years ago and the company has been a CHBA finalist or winner every year since joining the reputable industry association.

Next month, Kujundzic will travel to Victoria, British Columbia to learn whether her signature designs earned top honours.
